My Philosophy:

I I have learned, ‘the hard way’, that personal experience is not necessarily the ‘best way’ nor is it the ‘smart way’. Rather learning from the history of other peoples experience (OPE) is the ‘smart way’, and the earlier in life that learning experience begins, the better off we are. Fortunate are those who have had loving, considerate and wise parents, grandparents or advisors who understood the ‘importance of the wise use of time’ and started their (wards) children and perhaps grandchildren off in life with good savings and money management habits that will have prepared themselves by laying the foundation for a fruitful, pleasant harvest in their retirement years.

First they will have learned to save and invest wisely a portion of all they earn (Say 20%). Then, the generally accepted rule is to (progressively throughout their lives) place a portion of all of their earnings and investment growth ‘savings’ in a ‘Safe Money Harbor’ where safety of principal is best assured, while wisely placing the remaining portion in a ‘Growth Investment’ vehicle of choice: The suggested proportioning is to place or move a portion determined by (using their age (Say at age 65 = 65%) as the percentage of their total ‘Savings’ that should be placed in  a ‘Safe Money Harbor’ where that (Safe Money Harbored) principal is protected from ‘Market Risk’.  Money in excess of what they will need in their lifetime would be considered for gifting to children and grandchildren and possibly for charities. The earlier in life this savings practice is started the more significant and comfortable their retirement resources become: it is never too late to start. However, without a significant ‘Safe Money Harbor’ one simply ‘retires to die’ in poverty, rather than enjoying a meaningful Fruitful Retirement** beginning a pleasant harvest of life’s rewards in the ‘Golden Years’. One of the rewards of the ‘Golden Years’ should be being able to observe the planned, orderly, considered and tax efficient distribution of our Estate, creating a Lasting Legacy for those we love and care about to remember us by.

**To me, the term Retirement is a complex social-economic concept. I would prefer to consider retirement as an Earned Right, Not an Entitlement, to withdraw from and ‘eight to five’ job or lifestyle. I object to a concept of a mandatory retirement age. Obviously, many of us incur some diminished physical and even intellectual capacities as we age; but then there are huge numbers of businesses and positions (voluntarily by choice and in some cases by necessity) founded, managed and even operated by individuals in advanced years. I believe we need their contributions to our economic and intellectual well being. This alludes to the beautiful Fruitful Retirement I would envision.

Earlier in my life I mistakenly bought into the philosophy of ‘Buy Term and Invest The Difference’. The ‘TRAP’, created by that philosophy, is the near certain devastation that will be wrought by the ups and downs of (Life Events) personal health, job and family disruptions, and market risk among others. I started out believing that Real Estate and Stock Market Investments capped with Term Insurance was the shrewdest formula, and at mid-life I became fully licensed to work in those fields. As disruptions occurred in my life I quickly fell out of love with the Stock Market Option. I remain fond of Business and Real Estate Related Business Opportunities as vehicles for wealth creation, but only if safeguarded/backed-up by the above insured ‘Safe Money’ (for me, today, those Safe Money Harbors are Indexed Annuities and Indexed Universal Life products) guidelines.

My Profile:

Since 1972 I have been working, primarily, with residential, business and industrial Real Estate and Real Estate Related Business Opportunities; and when appropriate, Retirement Interests utilizing Annuities (Including Indexed Annuities), and Life (Including Indexed Single Premium Life and Indexed Universal Life) Insurances. I am now also using the Tax Recovery Program and Identity Theft Risk Management Program as introductory services. I began my Insurance career in 1960 and added Real Estate in 1966. I operated under the DBA of Cal-Lands Realty from 1972 to 1989, when I began operating under the DBA of Investor Diversified Realty & Services Group. I began my membership with and became an Independent Associate with Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. in 1994; and in 2006 added my CITRMS (Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist).

My services are directed to helping Individuals and Business Owners to Grow and Protect their Personal and Business interests while saving them Time and Money. I am dedicated to identifying opportunities and finding solutions for my clients' interests. Confidentiality respected.
